A Baby Reading Club: it's never too early to start

I was surprised to learn that an activity like a Reading Club, focused on adults and children, is carried out with babies. But of course, it's about a very particular reading Club, where the little ones are the spectators and at the same time protagonists of some very interesting sessions.

Reading with the baby since childhood was an enriching experience, we do not choose novels but illustrated books that stimulate their senses, that recognize figures, colors, animals ... and at the same time learn little by little to name them. In San Sebastián, starting in October, some babies will participate in this particular club.

It will be on October 1 when for the first time at the Ernest Lluch Library, it will be launched the Reading Club offered by the Bularretik Mintzora project. It is an activity aimed at babies between six months and three years, which combines reading with songs.

There will be three sessions that will take place on the first Tuesday of each month at 10:30 am (October 1, November 5 and December 3) and in which parents can also get to know books and resources to stimulate their babies' taste For the stories.

Promoting early reading has many benefits, and what we parents should stay with is not that they learn to read before and better (we talk about very young babies) but everything that surrounds the act of enjoying books together, of children. stories, drawings, voices and affectionate melodies.

In addition, it is not difficult to get it ourselves, form our own "club": for example at this time of the year we recommend you "picnic" with babies and children, while enjoying books and nature.

Participation in this Baby Reading Club is free, but there are very limited places, so prior registration is required in the library itself or through the email you can see below at the source.
