Easter holidays with children: let's go to the beach

In our tour of this Easter Special we have talked about international, rural and urban destinations, we have known the best theme parks and today we have to approach the sea. If you are wishing to step on the sand of the beach (and the most daring to take the first bath in the sea), these are our Easter holiday proposals with children on the beach.

In this case we move to Levante, south of the peninsula and the islands to take a dip in good weather without losing the attractions that for families exist beyond the sand and the sea. Are you with us

The advantages of these destinations is that it is usually good weather, pleasant temperatures and although not everyone dares with the first bath of the season (the water is still at a fairly cool temperature) the sand offers many possibilities.

The walks by the sea, the games in the sand, making castles or flying kites are some of the possibilities. Of course, the sea is the protagonist and boat trips are also usually a good option.

In addition, in the different destinations we give you many clues about others family activities.

Peniscola with children

Peñíscola is one of the most beautiful towns in Castellón, with its castle and its historical center facing the sea. The beach and the coves of the Costa del Azahar await us, but even in bad weather we have a lot to do in Peñíscola, apart from touring the city and trying the delicious cuisine of the area. We can go hiking, take the tourist train, attend a raptor flight show next to the castle, find the house of the shells, go to the Museum of the Sea ...

Do not miss the agenda of activities scheduled for Holy Week, because there are guided visits to the city, recreational and children's activities on the Paseo Marítimo, concerts, via crucis infantil, encounter of drums and tabals…

Elche beaches

In Elche there are some of the best beaches in the province of Alicante, so it is an ideal place to discover as a family. On the Costa Blanca we can go to the beaches of l'Altet, Arenales del Sol or Carabassí in the north zone and to the beaches of El Pinet, La Marina and Les Pesqueres-El Rebollo to the south of the municipality.

We can also visit the city of Elche with its palm groves (World Heritage), the Paleontological Museum, the MAHE, take a little train ... Do not miss one of its most spectacular days in Holy Week: the Palm Sunday procession, declared of International Tourist Interest, a show for the senses and a few days before the Mercado de la Palma Blanca.

Malaga with children

We moved to the Costa del Sol. The city of Malaga surprises the visitor with its Holy Week processions And as there is time for everything, we also want to enjoy the beaches of the city and the province. The city has 14 kilometers of beaches, perfectly connected and equipped with all kinds of services. La Malagueta, Pedregalejo, San Andrés or Guadalmar are some of the beaches in Malaga.

Next to the beach we will love to visit the city, its parks and monuments, historical buildings ... We will go up to Castillo de Gibralfaro, we will step on an authentic Roman theater and we will see La Alcazaba. Among the museums, those of Carmen Thyssen, the Casa Natal de Picasso Museum and the Center for Contemporary Art, the Automobile Museum…

The beaches of Ibiza

The island of Eivissa has many options of beaches and coves in several municipalities, which at this time of the year we will not find as full as in summer, although the waters are still cool. But in good weather we can enjoy walks on the beach, games in the sand and endless activities related to the sea without diving into it.

Also in Eivissa we can go hiking and make many interesting excursions (even take a ferry to neighboring Formentera), get to know the historical center of the capital (Dalt Vila is a World Heritage Site), the Cathedral, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum Ethnographic, the Puget Museum ...

Tenerife with children

Tenerife awaits us with its good sunny weather and many beaches for all tastes. The most famous beaches are those of Tenerife Sur, located in the municipalities of Arona and Costa Adeje. There are gray sand beaches of volcanic and golden origin.

In La Orotava and La Laguna, the most spectacular celebrations of Holy Week in Tenerife are held. In addition, the island has two World Heritage Sites (San Cristóbal de la Laguna and Teide National Park) and 42 protected natural areas.

There are multiple options for fun with the kids, from theme parks (Loro Parque, Forestal Park ...) to museums (Museum of Nature and Man, Castillo de San Cristóbal ...) or boat trips for whale watching. What else can we ask for? A gastronomy to suck your fingers ...

Now we can only hope that the good tempo accompanies for enjoy these beach destinations with children at Easter and don't miss everything that different cities, provinces or islands have to offer families. Good vacations!
